“This has always been a high-performance and technologically advanced vehicle,” says chief designer Gordon Platto. “The design changes reflect the next level of refinement.”

POWER AND EFFICIENCY

The 2013 Taurus engine lineup includes three offerings: the new standard 3.5-liter Ti-VCT V-6, the optional 2.0-liter EcoBoost^® I-4, and the 365 hp, SHO-exclusive 3.5-liter EcoBoost, which delivers V-8 power in a V-6 package.*

The unmistakable SHO exterior finishes—a new sculptured hood with a black mesh grille, branded side-fender vents, an integrated spoiler and LED taillamps above chrome-tipped dual exhaust—serve up a dramatic first impression. But this beauty brings performance. “We made the lines as wide and low as possible,” Platto says. “We also added a performance-enhancing ducktail to the rear deck line.” In addition to larger disc brakes, standard Torque Vectoring with Curve Control will keep you superglued to the road.

INTERIOR APPOINTMENTS

Taurus also offers inner beauty. Featuring available class-exclusive multicontour seats with Active Motion™, the front seats are larger and more comfortable to accompany a smoother ride and enhanced climate control. The sweeping center console with available SYNC^® with MyFord Touch^® system allows you to control your phone, music, navigation and much more, using intuitive voice commands, along with an eight-inch touch screen and toggle controls on the available heated steering wheel.

DRIVER EMPOWERED

Bull riding has its risks, but the Taurus is loaded with features that will upgrade your driving experience. The available adaptive cruise control and collision warning with brake support help you maintain a safe distance from the vehicle in front.
