Tomorrow’s Designs Today

Can’t wait for Evos? The 2013 Fusion, the next new global sedan from Ford, will showcase many of the same elements.

Yes, concept cars are a great way to express the vision of an auto company, but there’s nothing like the real thing to get your engine running. Design elements from the futuristic Evos are already being woven into the production of cars such as the 2013 Fusion, where you’ll see them integrated in the following features:

The Grille

The refined, inverted signature-shape grille has become a hallmark of the One Ford design language since it was introduced. It has been moved higher, creating a slimmer, more refined lip under the hood.

The Overhang

The mass that extends past the front wheels has been pared back to help create a more svelte and elegant starting point for the sleek body design that is obvious in the clean lines of the rest of the car.

The Headlamps

Rather than following the industry trend of making ever-larger lights up front, Fusion designers reduced the size of the template for a sleeker, more futuristic look.
